December 3, 2009 - Dear Mr. Bowles and Carriage Hills
staff:
As Clinical Instructor for Aiken Technical College
this fall semester, I wish to take this opportunity to thank you...for a
wonderful learning experience at Carriage Hills Living Center. Your facility
offered a variety of learning opportunities and experiences and were made to
feel at home from the first day we entered the doors.
The staff were always kind, courteous, willing to
help us, and patient with the students and me as we asked numerous questions.
It was my first experience at your living center, so it was a new environment
for me also. Some of the staff assisted us in special ways and need recognition
for their efforts: Christina, Susie, Jessica G., Jennifer L., Gwyn B., Sandra
and her dietary staff (who fed us each day, the students looked forward to this
part of the day), housekeeping and C.N.A. staff on LTC unit, Medical Records,
and PT/OT staff. It is evident that the staff enjoy working at Carriage Hills
as they perform their duties each day. I believe that his is due in part to the
leadership and the role models that you and others on your team portray each
day.
I would be remiss if I did not thank the most
important people at your living center: the residents. The residents allowed us
to enter their home, care for their physical and psychosocial needs...For this
we thank them with grateful hearts! We established friendships that the students
will never forget. I look forward to seeing you during the spring semester with
a new group of students.
Sincerely,
Mary Ann Hunt. RN, CNS, MSN
Adjunct Faculty Aiken Technical
College
September 1, 2009 - We just want you to know how much we appreciated
your kindness and care while my Dad was a patient in your fine facility. The
good feeling I got about Carriage Hills started right at the front widow with
Deb, followed by an enjoyable visit with Diane as we went through the admitting
process. The staff in the dining room were very nice and helpful. I was
impressed with how Celee and another young gal working there (can not recall her
name) were also patient with all of the residents and were very helpful to their
needs. Thank you to all of the nursing staff as well. My Dad felt well
taken care of and all of his questions were answered. We wish all of you good
health and continued success with what you do so well at Carriage Hills. Please
tell Lindsey hello an to continue with her nursing career! Sincerely, Carla Galloway and Lowell Skelton
August 20, 2009 -Dear Sandra and Dietary Staff, Jane and I were very grateful for your kindness and
thoughtfulness in the celebration of our 49th wedding anniversary. The kindness
your dietary staff showed us revealed your leadership skills in caring for
others and going the extra mile. I enjoyed every meal I ate with yall and "Miss Liz"
has a special way in cooking such great meals. Wedding Anniversaries are so precious at our age
and station in life. The flowers were such a beautiful touch of love and Jane
wanted them to go on dinning room table where they will remain for a long time.
Many thanks! With great appreciation, Raymond & Jane Mizell
August 6, 2009 -To: Carriage Hills Nurses, Therapists, C.N.A.'s,
and Administrators, My Father, Calvin C. Wheeland, spent approximately
3 weeks in your care. While his health condition prevented him from improving,
I know you all did the best you could and showed great concern and patience
during his stay. You also were extremely kind to Freda, Calvin's wife, and
ensured she was comfortable. Sandra Martin took special care to make sure she
had her meals when she was with my Father. All the nurses and C.N.A.'s were
wonderful caring individuals. The therapists encouraged Dad who did well at
first and they (the therapist) always welcomed my mother and I into the therapy
room. I know Dad was in the best care possible and thank you on behalf of my
entire family and Mother. With best regards, Karen Poore
July 27,
2009 - Dear Robby, I just want to say "thank you" for
going beyond the call of duty in the caring of my husband, Brown Freeland,
during his recent stay at Carriage Hills. Home is always the best place to be; Carriage Hills
is the next best. You have some outstanding
employees: Glenn was so helpful and kind to us. Tiffany Bing is one of the best C.N.A.s. She knows how to get the patient to do what he needs to
do. She is always pleasant, smiling and very efficient. Thank you again and I
pray you will be richly blessed. Sincerely, Lila
Freeland
July 18, 2009 -Dear Mr. Bowles: I wish to thank you and your entire staff for making my
stay at your facility so pleasant and enjoyable. I entered you facility on June 22nd
hardly able to walk with the use of a cane, and walked out on
July 9, 2009
without using a cane. I went to see my
Family doctor on July 14th and he was astounded that I was walking as
well as I was…I give credit for all this recovery to your staff! The staff that you operate is remarkable. All of your associates seem to be just one
big happy family. Not one time did I
hear, “that is not my job.” I started
trying to keep names of your staff members with the thought of including them in
this letter; however, I found that impossible.
I did not want to leave anyone out. Next week I will start a program on a partial basis and
already know that even though that will be a good facility I will always be
comparing it with Carriage Hills. I will always sing the praises of Carriage Hills and the
staff there. Sincerely, Eldon D. Bullington
June 3,
2009 -Dear
Robby, So many folks were so good to me and
gave me special service and attention during my stay. Thanks to you for your excellent
leadership. My special angels were Pat
and Lisa. You know them so you can’t be
surprised. Pat’s patience and experience, Lisa is amazingly wonderful to so
young. Please continue to encourage them. Also I must mention Christine “little
squirt”. She is little and was always
busy with a squirt bottle in her hand. Sincerely, Connie
Benson
May 17,
2009 - Robby, Thank you so very much for having my
grand dad, Roy Anderson as your guest at the USCA Pacers baseball game. He so much enjoyed the outing-form the
transportation to the game!!! In fact the 2009 Baseball Championship cap is
really special to him. Today he located
the Pacers game on the radio and really got excited hearing the Carriage Hills
advertisement (which was pretty impressive)! What an impression you and your
staff have made on our family. We
appreciate the quality of care given with the personal touch that is so
genuine! I have noticed that a kind word,
touch or listening ear is so important to most of your residents or in reality
folks in general. Noticing this at
Carriage Hills-I so hope to apply this to myself and take the time for
others. The kindness and professionalism
of the Carriage Hills family has not gone unnoticed and is very much
appreciated. Thanks again, Kim
Britt-Grice
Robby, Thanks for being their for mama she loved you and the Carriage Hills
family. You all showed her that you
cared for her a great deal. I know she
would be proud of you being a pallbearer. This shows the kindness of the Carriage Hills
family. Love to all, Drucilla and
Family
April 24, 2009- To The Management and Staff, I want to thank the management and the entire staff for a most beneficial and pleasant stay at Carriage Hills. The fact that you are #1 for excellence is very understandable. My treatment was not only administered in a professional manner, but most important to me, with such a concerned and caring attitude. I started to write down the names that I wanted to compliment but I soon realized there were just far too many to mention. For fear that I would leave someone out of the list – may I just say “thank you” to all of you. Sincerely, Myrtle Garlinger
April 16, 2009- Dear Mrs. Williamson, In the many times that I have visited hospitals, nursing homes, and rehabilitation facilities, I have never been so impressed by the caring attitudes of your staff, from the doctors to cleaning personnel. I was told by the MCG personnel that you are a 5 Star Living Center, and they are right. I was pleased with the facility dedicated to providing quality and compassionate care to my wife. All the staff was so kind to me and my wife. Not only in the 100 hall, but the whole facility. I do not want to start naming each person, however; Mrs. Myong Connor was the first person that we meet, and she was so kind and explain the procedures to us, and put our mind at ease, which meant a lot to both of us. So I just want to send you this thank you letter to thank you for everything that you did for my wife and I. Yours in Christ, Richard G. Neal Rev. and Mrs. Richard G. Neal
Dear Carriage Hills Friends, Your love and compassion are a source of comfort and warmth in this most difficult time…I know there are people that did not just take care of her but loved her and she felt it. Thank you again for your thoughtfulness. Love Vicki
