Dear Folks, I truly don’t know where to begin to thank so many of youthat made my stay at your facility so rewarding and so memorable. I was taken care from February 1 until April 8. I stayed in room 17A on the 1stfloor, a few doors from where I spent many noteworthy hours in the therapy room. First in therapy, it taught me to get back on my feet... Kevin, who walked me down the hall many times to achieve on one occasion 1000 feet on a 2 and 4 moveable wheel walker. I remember how he said on my last day that is what makes it all worthwhile. It was because of his efforts on my progress in climbing up and down steps, too, as well as his outstanding dedication to make me better that I truly today owe him so very much.. Even here at home, I am trying to exercise the alphabet with my legs as he showed me to do. I could go on and on about how much he helped me.
Gretchen and I spent many a time talking in and out of German as well as her teaching me through exercises how to stand again; using my arms as I once did; giving me back my self confidence. As well as, just plain through her compassion and love, made me a much better person as I was. She is such an outstanding human being who possesses empathy toward others that it is just about an impossible thing, not to feel fondness toward her. She is a very wonderful person.
Leslie never gave up on me as well. I recall if she saw me going too fast on the hand bicycle, she would tighten the black knob to give more resistance to the rotating motion. I would give her a look like “did you have to do that”? As part as her teaching me arm dexterity and coordination, we once played an electronic game called Wii. I learned that my grandson has one like it at home. Another fellow and I played boxing and baseball on it also, in which he beat the pants off me. My only excuse was that I had never played this type of game before.
The boss lady was instrumental in obtaining my release to go home after completing the required therapy exercises. She merely winked when I asked her if she was responsible for my leaving when I did. All the people in therapy were very nice to me and did what they could to get me well.
There were two folks on the floor that did so much for me also, Jerry and Nicole. She shaved, washed and dressed me just about every day. They both would bring us our trays of food at mealtime. Jerry had a real sense of humor that contributed to folks liking and talking to him so much. The Bingo lady was always willing to assist all and kept me so well informed of the 2nd floor activities. The night nurse, Janet, was always kind to me. She and my wife got along great. She cared for me and would always check on me when I was feeling bad.
Last, but not least, was a very sweet lady who would kiss me on the cheek, and with her hugs made me feel so much at home and comfortable, I never knew her name. I remember she treated me so very nice, always trying to please all of us in her labor and duties.
Again there were so many folks to thank. I just wish I could thank them all that made my stay there such a memorable and rewarding one. Respectfully, Reinhold A. Gassmann

To the staff and support staff of
EasleyLivingCenter, Thank you for the excellent care you provided for my mother, Evelyn Crum, during her recent stay. Your loving kind attention to her was very much appreciated. A special thanks to Cynthia Frady who helped encourage mother in the evenings, when she wanted to be at home the most. Sincerely, Joan England
My mother was in Easley Living Center for an extended rehabilitation period.
Our family was extremely satisfied with the quality of care she received during
her stay. The entire staff was very professional in caring for mother. They
were always friendly and very helpful. Anytime we had questions about mother's
condition our questions were answered.
Thank you, Mr. Steve Grogan
My father, Allen Baker (a dialysis patient) was moved to Easley Living Center
in 2003. He had excellent care during his time there. I made a mistake of moving
him to a different facility (non-HMR) because it looked better. The change was
not a happy experience for any of us, least of all for my Dad. I learned the
hard way that elegant beautifully decorated buildings and manicured lawns do not
guarantee good elder care. It's the people who make the difference.
When it became necessary for my mother, Erma Baker, to have rehabilitation
on three different occasions in 2006 and 2007, I went to the place where I knew
she would get the best personal assistance and medical care - Easley Living Center.
She has been treated with dignity, given fine nursing, and has made such good
progress in the rehabilitation center that she will soon be transferred to an
assisted living facility. Following surgery last fall, she suffered a pulmonary
embolism. Linda, an alert nurse, literally saved her life by sending her immediately
to an emergency room.
The quality of care provided for my parents has been excellent. In
addition, I cannot say enough about the personal support that has been given to
me by various administrative members at the center. My opinion that Easley Living
Center is one of the best-managed facilities in the area has been reinforced in
recent days while visiting many other health care residences in search for an
assisted living for my Mother. I can testify that good management plus people
who care makes Easley Living Center a great place for skilled nursing care, for
rehabilitation, and for living.
