Michael H. McBride, President and Chief Executive Officer of HMR Advantage Health Systems, Inc.,
has dedicated the last 23 years to serving the elderly in the field of long-term
care. Beginning his career at the Methodist Home in Orangeburg, SC where he served
as the Director of Business Affairs, he became a licensed nursing home administrator
in 1985. From there he served as the administrator for several long-term care
facilities. In 1993, driven by a strong commitment to improve long-term care services
for the elderly, Mr. McBride contracted to lease six facilities and subsequently
formed the company known as Health Management Resources, Inc. He previously held
the position of President of the South Carolina Health Care Association and is
also a member of the Board of Directors for the American Health Care Association.
Mr. McBride holds an Undergraduate Degree from Clemson University and a Master’s
Degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina.
John F. Swift, CPA, serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for HMR Advantage
Health Systems, Inc. His responsibilities include the financial reporting and
accounting functions for each of the living centers managed by HMR Advantage Health
Systems, Inc. With over ten years of experience with an international public accounting
firm, over five years of experience as Vice President of Finance for an aviation
company, and over eight years of experience in the long term care industry as
the Chief Financial Officer for HMR, Mr. Swift has extensive expertise in the
areas of financing, acquisitions and divestitures. Mr. Swift holds a Degree in
Accounting from the University of South Carolina and is a member of the American
Institute of CPAs and the S.C. Association of CPAs.
William H. Williamson, serves as Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for HMR Advantage Health
Systems, Inc. His responsibilities include the oversight of all operational, clinical
and hospice services provided at the living centers managed by HMR Advantage
Health Systems, Inc. Mr. Williamson has over 37 years of experience in the long-term
care profession and currently holds an active administrator's license in South
Carolina. He serves on the Executive Committee of the South Carolina Health Care
Association's DHEC Advisory Board and previously was a member of the Geriatric Best Practices
Advisory Board funded by The Duke Endowment, an initiative of the South Carolina
Hospital Association. Mr. Williamson holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management
from Florida State University.
D. Abe Emery, serves as Vice President of Human Resources for HMR Advantage Health Systems,
Inc. His responsibilities include the overall Human Resource functions for each
of the living centers managed by HMR Advantage Health Systems, Inc. With over
30 years of Human Resource experience to include 18 years of senior HR leadership
roles in the Long Term Care and Assisted Living Industry. Mr. Emery has extensive
experience in all facets of Human Resources to include Labor Relations. Mr. Emery
holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Grand Valley State University, as well as a certificate
in Advanced Labor Relations from the University of Michigan.

William H. Birmingham, LNHA (Bill) serves as Vice President of Development and Strategic Planning for
HMR Advantage Health Systems, Inc. His responsibilities include identifying, managing
and maximizing the business impact of numerous partnerships and programs. He leads
the design and development of corporate wide programs that increase our competitive
advantage in the market while assuring the most effective use of the available
resources. With over 27 years in the long term care and rehabilitation
profession, Bill has worked with many of the top health care provider companies
in the country and held various senior management positions. He holds a Bachelors
Degree in Health Care Management from the University of Alabama. He has served
on the State Healthcare Boards in both Alabama and South Carolina.
