Willow Creek Living Center Receives Zero Deficiency Rating
Willow Creek Living Center, one of twenty-one living centers in the HMR Advantage
Health Systems regional network, recently received a “0” deficiencies rating for
their annual survey. The State Department of Health and Environmental Control,
Bureau of Certification / Health Regulations gave the rating, which is the highest
possible. They show up annually unannounced to perform a thorough inspection.
This inspection can last 3 to 4 days depending on the size of the facility. There
are over 500 federal regulations in which each facility strives to maintain compliance.
“Since you never know when they’re coming, everything always has to be right,
whether it’s food choices and water temperatures, or the cleanliness of the building
and the dignity of the residents", says Bill Williamson, VP and Chief Operations
Officer.
HMR Advantage promises quality of life for seniors, with the staff of each
Living Center responsible for keeping this promise. “Carla Heritage, the Executive
Director at Willow Creek, said “The results from this survey validate the quality
of the care given to the residents of Willow Creek and the pride the staff takes
in delivering this care. It is also worthy of note that in May of this year an
independent survey was completed by our residents and their families. Those completing
the surveys expressed a 100% satisfaction with the facility. A perfect survey
from DHEC and 100% overall satisfaction from our families and residents shows
what a wonderful facility we have here at Willow Creek.”
